🏬 Amazon’s AI empire is thirsty. The company revealed its data centers consumed a staggering 2.5 billion gallons of water in 2025, enough to fill thousands of Olympic-sized swimming pools. As Big Tech races to build the infrastructure powering the AI boom, water is becoming one of the industry’s most important (and overlooked) resources. Amazon says it’s getting more efficient, cutting water use by 2% from the previous year and relying on outside air for cooling most of the time.
