📈 Anthropic just took its first real step toward going public. The AI giant has confidentially submitted a draft S-1 to the SEC, officially kicking off the IPO process. Most people won’t see the filing yet. The SEC allows companies to submit registration documents privately, giving them time to receive feedback and fix issues before the public gets access. But the message is clear: Anthropic is preparing for the public markets. The draft S-1 is where a company lays everything on the table, its business model, financial performance, risks, ownership structure, and plans for the money it raises. For now, those details remain hidden. The real moment comes when the public S-1 drops. That’s when investors will finally get a look inside one of the world’s most valuable AI companies: revenue growth, losses, margins, compute costs, customer concentration, dependence on cloud partners like Amazon and Google, legal risks, and how much control executives still hold. Until then, Anthropic remains one of the biggest black boxes in AI. @aipost 🏴
