🚀 Elon Musk says even the biggest AI optimist wasn’t optimistic enough Elon Musk says futurist Ray Kurzweil, famous for making bold AI predictions decades ago, may have actually underestimated how fast AI is advancing. According to Musk, dedicated AI computing power is currently growing 10x every six months, or nearly 100x every year for the next few years. To put that into perspective, Moore’s Law, the trend that powered the internet, smartphones, and the modern tech industry predicted computing would only double every two years. AI is now moving at a completely different pace. Musk also believes the world’s computing infrastructure is being rewritten in real time. Instead of powering traditional workloads, many of today’s data centers could soon be converted almost entirely to AI. If that happens, AI won’t just be another industry, it will become the foundation that every other industry runs on. @aipost 🏴
