A new Chinese rescue robot is now operating autonomously to assist drowning individuals. It deploys by air, flying to the location at speeds of approximately 10–14 meters per second and can travel up to 2 kilometers. Upon reaching the person in distress, the robot lands on the water to provide flotation, supporting up to two adults with an approximate weight of 80 kilograms each.
