Anthropic has pushed back on those claims, maintaining that the government’s concerns are being overstated and that the model’s safeguards are stronger than critics suggest. Commerce Department officials are said to be open to restoring consumer access to Fable 5 in the future, but only if Anthropic can convincingly address the jailbreak concerns.
