Matic has launched a new home robot capable of cleaning based on simple verbal commands and hand gestures. The device operates without the need for an app, menus, or maps. Users issue instructions by pointing to a location and stating commands such as “clean this” or “follow me.” The robot processes input in over 70 languages, navigates to the indicated spot, and can follow the user to another room as needed. All functions are processed internally on the device, allowing full operation without relying on wireless connectivity. The development spanned nine years, involving 11 prototypes.
