Challenge
Farmers were losing significant portions of their crops to pests and diseases that went undetected until it was too late. Traditional scouting methods were time-consuming, required expert knowledge, and often missed early signs of infestation.
We needed to create a solution that could work in remote areas with limited connectivity, be easy enough for any farmer to use, and provide accurate pest identification across hundreds of crop types and thousands of pest species.
Solution
We built a mobile-first computer vision platform that allows farmers to simply take a photo of their crops to instantly identify pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies. The AI model was trained on millions of agricultural images and works offline.
The platform provides actionable recommendations including treatment options, organic alternatives, and timing guidance. It also tracks pest populations over time and can predict potential outbreaks based on weather patterns and historical data.
